I have been adding to my tape journal in the laziest way possible. I am not wanting to use messy paint and glue in this journal because I just do not want one more thing to clean at the end of the day. Everything is either taped in or written directly on the page. I am using watercolor to add color when I feel like it. I have been keeping the journal near my desk so as we make travel plans, I can use it for notes.
notes: 1. People keep telling me about Dutch people when I say I am going to Denmark. People in Denmark are Danish. 2. I keep reading about the Archipelago that is Stockholm, but it reminds me of the Rudolph New Year special and the Archipelago of Lost Years. 3. We will be miserable if we get a room for smokers. 4. I need power converters!
I love Instagram and the way you can pretty much journal on the spot! I did not want to rewrite my journal so I created a tag for my trip and used it in posts about travel prep. I screen shotted those pages, printed, cut out, and taped in the journal. I love that the captions tell the story. So easy! I did use a "rejected" rubber stamp on the photo of the shoes I returned.
I had a bunch of loose ends from new clothes, notes, food, etc., that I wanted to keep so just taped them down. It's not about making pretty art, this is just me keeping my memory bits in one place. I will keep adding to this page. I do see a story in these miscellaneous bits.
