I love seeing all the back to school photos people are posting of their kids almost as much as I love hearing the moms talk about how their kids protested getting in the photo. The photo protesting age is a funny one, but the kids get pissed when you laugh at their mumbly moods. When they are 40, they will look back and laugh.
When we were kids, we'd spend the summers with our Nana and she would buy us back-to-school clothes. After a day of shopping, we would try on our new outfits and pose for photos. It was weeks before school started but boy was it fun (and a hundred degrees)! This is one of my favorite photos and one of my favorite Garanimals outfits (I know I have posted this photo before). The best thing about this photo is Nana's finger in the way. Her fingertip often appeared in her photos. I love seeing her pink fence and pink walls and all the little memory triggers. I remember she planted rhubarb along the long pink fence behind us and there was mint planted infront of us. Her garden was very color coordinated and smelled amazing.
I am so thankful Nana took these photos for and of us.
