The bionic knee in our house is now 30 days old! It has definitely been a challenge and it is definitely getting better daily. The bionic knee is extremely sensitive to the touch now and at night even a sheet touching it is annoying to the max. Shorts are the uniform of the Bionic Man! The best part is he can now take a shower without wrapping the bionic knee in Cling Wrap and tape. The Bionic Man smells good again! We are still walking in the mornings and some days are harder than others. Physical therapy is twice a week and it seems like the days he exercises the most are almost always followed by a day of taking it easy. There is give and take in everything. Taking it easy is really hard for stubborn men who want to be 100% right now! I know there are way worse things than a knee replacement and even though this is hard, we do our best to power through. The specific pain he had before surgery is no longer there and it seems the current pain is all to do with the surgery and his body blending with the bionic parts. It's weird to have to teach your knee and leg to work again. We are both totally inspired by the people who have been through this already.
**The Bionic Man has also spent a lot of time teaching Zibby to drink out of a glass. Sometimes the creativity comes in funny forms. Whatever works.
