My hands are tired lately. It's a shame because my mind is full of ideas for things I need to do with my hands. Talking takes a lot of effort now because it means you have to have your fingers going at all times. My fingers are currently busy opening this container of almonds, grabbing a few, then closing it then repeating all the steps every few minutes. Thanks to Chelsea, I am addicted to these sea salt & sugar almonds from My Boyfriend Joe. I convinced myself that an entire container is a well balanced meal since they contain protein and anti-oxidants so I bought in bulk. I suggest you do the same, they sell out fast. Trust me, spending all day opening and closing this containter will be well worth all the other little projects you are not doing. It's too hot to replant your herb garden or paint the baseboards anyway.
It's the time of year when I normally start planning our annual Thanksgiving trip to San Francisco. But--my husband has always wanted to go to New York and has not been yet. I have been many times for work-related things so was always very fortunate to stay at hotels I didn't have to pay for. Since we are celebrating the Year of Travel and Adventure (and you only live however long you live) we are thinking of going to New York at the beginning of November instead of going to San Francisco. And by going, I mean just for a weekend since we are paying for it. If anyone has any hotel suggestions (or restaurants!) please let me know. We are thinking we'll take a red-eye flight on a thursday and return on a sunday so my husband won't miss too much work. And in the mean time, I will sit here with my bucket of almonds watching all the JetBlue bargain flights so I can snatch them up!
