The fun thing about our trip is it involved many train trips between countries. Long train trips. There was beautiful scenery to look at (SO BEAUTIFUL!) and we were in First Class where now they have the train equivalent of stewardesses who serve you juice and KitKats. A KitKat makes every adventure better. When traveling on a Eurail Pass, always reserve a seat in First Class. Try walking through a Second Class car on a busy route and you will so want to send us a thank you card for this tid-bit of unsolicted advice. We'd always planned to use the 5 hours on the train to get caught up on our travel journal of what we did in the three previous days but a bad funny thing kept happening. Every time we got on a train, we happened to be seated right behind the worst smelling person in the train. The stinky offenders were always on the train for the full five hours and always had a suitcase, and a spouse with them who could've told them to at least put on a better smelling shirt, but didn't. On our last train ride, the man in front of us kept standing up and reaching his arms in the air to stretch or reach for his suitcase over head (to get a book, not deodorant), spreading odor right into our direction. It was so unbearable that at one point, Emily reached into her suitcase, got out her rollerball of perfume and rolled it on her nose. When we got done laughing, we did the same thing.
