For the first time in a while, I have a few days without anything going on in our house. We are in renovation limbo until our clean air test comes back on Friday letting us know all the mold is gone. Because I am me, my laptop committed suicide as soon as renovations began. Life without a sink, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and laptop is just too Little House On The Prairie for me. Didn't Laura and Mary at least have a sink? After 3 days of eating at restaurants with free wi-fi for my iPhone, I looked at our bank account balance, then the scale, then my stash of Lean Cuisines, then we went to WalMart and bought a $40 microwave to get us through the month. Now I can stare at the black screen of death on my laptop while I eat my glazed chicken right out of the box with a plastic fork I do not have to wash.
In case you were wondering, there really is a big difference between a $40 microwave and a $350 microwave. I think Laura and Mary had the $40 version next to their sink.
