I'd really like to sleep more than 3 hours a night. I'm stuck in meowy cat hell. And if Suki isn't meowing, the dogs next door are barking. And if the dogs are not barking, the generic Ambien wears off. It keeps being something and once I've woken up, I am up.
There's not much we can do about the barking beasts next door. Another neighbor has already filed a complaint and- big shock- nothing has happened. My insurance only covers generic medication now so until I find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the Ambien problem will remain a problem (would I rather sleep here or in Italy?). Hmm....the generic Ambien doesn't seem to do much for me, should I just toss them over the fence to the dogs?
Perhaps the cat problem can be solved.
Every morning at 4 AM, Suki jumps on the bed and on to me like it's Christmas morning and I am the present Santa just brought. A present she's always wanted. If I am sleeping on my side, she will do that kneading dough thing with her paws on my hip until actual biscuits I have eaten in the past pop out (it seems). She doesn't do this to my husband who is right next to me. Maybe because he eats fewer biscuits. I never react to her so she won't think waking me up at 4AM will get her something good, but if not reacting to her doesn't make her stop, what will?
We can't close the bedroom door. We tried that and she just sits at the door crying all night.
I'm open for suggestions.
*Oh come on, I wouldn't really give Ambien to anyone's dogs. I'd make them pay for it.
