I'm having horrific memories. Oddly enough, they are not of my childhood, but that blog post will be coming soon. I'm having bad memories and flashbacks of my year with the Mo Fo Flipper and that damn implant! This last month has been a blur to me. I had a dentist appointment (and a sinus infection) on the day our mom died and I never made it to the dentist. And in that weird way that bad things happen when other bad things happen, by the time I finally did get to the dentist, my infection had gotten out of control. Or perhaps it started with an infection in my molar that spread to my sinus but either way, my tooth is all fucked up. I heard the words surgery and implant and then only pretended to still be paying attention. OH MY BUDDHA! I don't even have a candy corn to blame this time. I've been taking loads of antibiotics and pain killers and hoping a magician who can work a miracle can offer me a different solution on monday. In the mean time, I am having crowns put on two other teeth tomorrow so I can chew again.
And to make this story all the freakier, and to prove that we are without a doubt sisters, Karen is having the exact same problem with the exact same infection and the exact same teeth. She will also be in a dentist's chair on monday wondering what the hell happened. That is just too weird for words.
*My implant is doing great! It's the only thing not giving me pain right now!
