Stress combined with coupons makes people do odd things. That's the only excuse I have for what is going on in this photo. Somehow the reindeer hat for cats fell into my shopping cart the other day. And since we have a cat, well, why not see what it looks like on?
One of the most important lessons our Nana ever taught us, and she led by experience, is that LIFE GOES ON. So even in the midst of chaos we go back to our rituals, to being home. We are heading up to San Francisco for a few days, as my husband and I do every Thanksgiving. It's our ritual. We walk, we eat, we take photos, we walk more, we eat more. We will be walking a bit less this year because one of us is still nursing a bad ankle, which leaves plenty of time for more sitting. I am always good with that. It will be hard to be away from my siblings this year but, hey, we can FaceTime each other from various destinations! iPhones were made for families separated on holidays.
