Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~My boxy helmet head is gone! I mean my actual head is still here, I didn't go all Anne Boleyn.
~Fried Cupcakes from Kickass Cupcakes in Boston.
~The Flexees tank. It's way more comfy than the Yummie Tummie and is cheaper. It works just as well and there won't be a seam across your chest. You will get deodorant all over it. Tuck it in and it won't scoot up.
~Karen and Emily are back from their trip and we are all in the same time zone.
~Funny surprise gifts in the mail.
~Trader Joe's 100 calorie oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I just rediscovered these. I may have rediscovered more than 100 calories while getting reacquainted. My boyfriend Joe has been in the news a lot lately. It turns out he is half German. That explains all the good chocolate!
Our Bêtes Noires:
~You are only seeing half my hair because though my helmet head is gone, there's something goofy going on with the bangs. In two weeks when the spot that's shorter in the middle grows out, I will show my new look. I can't be too mad about the bangs because bangs are never right and for a week I told all the gods other people believe in that all I wanted was a style. I should've said a style and not too short bangs. It was a gamble.
~Wonder Bread is back on store shelves in LA but not Wonder Light. We still miss Wonder Light. It was the only good light bread. It didn't have a weird bandaid taste. Last week I tasted all the other light breads in case I was about to have another fig experience and they all smell yeasty. YUCK.
~Our recent heat wave turned the fresh herbs in my garden into dead herbs in my garden.
~Brenda's back on General Hospital but nothing is happening and they aren't discussing why she is limping, blinking funny, and totally under weight. What happened to Brenda? Not that she could act before, but this is really bad.
~Massive SUV type strollers everywhere, stopping the flow of foot traffic. Behind every humongous stroller with dual cup holders, front and side airbags, and surround sound that is blocking the elevator door or the last step of an escalator, there is a parent with penis envy.
