Every night before we go to bed, I put the dishes in the dishwasher and I clean off the counters. There's a window behind our sink with those horizontal slat blinds that little kids and cats get tangled in when you aren't looking. I raise them a bit so heaven forbid if Suki ever got up there she wouldn't get stuck in them and then somehow accidentally fall down the disposal. That could totally happen (to me). I go to bed and then a few hours later (without fail) I am awakened from Ambien dreams by a thump and a cat's chatty meows. I drag myself out of bed (where Suki isn't sleeping with us) and there she is, sitting on my clean kitchen counter, next to our orange walls with the light of the moon shining on her, meowing at her reflection in the window
It was cute the first time.
Sometimes My Cat prints are available in my shop.
*Only sometimes do I wish that. Never on rainy days. We love our Suki.
