Karen and I have been in a decorating frenzy. She moved into her new
house and her color scheme changed. Then we got the zen garden which
you can see from the inside of the house and now my colors have to
change. As luck would have it, we're both going for the same shades of
purple and green. The only problem is (aside from the budget) nobody
seems to have anything in shades of eggplant. I dyed my curtains and
depending on the time of day, they are a good shade of deep purple. I
need a few pillows for the couch and chairs to tie everything together
and a new area rug and then I think I will be happier. These are also
the same things Karen needs. Imagine that! We're also both in need of a Cinnabon and some not ugly clothes so we're taking tomorrow off and
meeting at the mall. I know we won't find not ugly clothes.
In my redecorating frenzy, I have also been changing around some of the art and photos we have on the walls. One of my all time favorite pieces of art that I made is hanging in our bedroom. I thought it would look really good at Karen's house (in her blue room) but there's no way I am parting with the original! I decided to make some prints and they turned out really nice. What a good sister! Open Window is now available in my shop.
