We were hoping that the weirdness from the last few weeks would end as soon as I wrote about it but it didn't. Though, I am oddly comforted by knowing that we aren't the only ones attracting the fake Mercury gone Retro. I don't mean good comforted but comforted as in whew, it ain't just us. Global freakiness seems way better when it is indeed global and not just the Cloud of Weird hovering over you alone.
For the last couple days, the electricity at my house keeps going out and I am really tired of resetting my digital clocks, so I have stopped. It has been blinking noon:03 all day. Good thing I had something to occupy my time with while the power was out and all my Lean Cuisines were melting. The cat that used to once in a while pay me visits has pretty much moved in to my backyard because I accidentally started feeding her, petting her, talking to her, and gave her a name (Little Orphan Annie). I wouldn't have done those maternal things but while petting her under duress, I noticed she was declawed! Who lets a declawed cat out into the wilderness of suburbia? I don't even like cats and I am all worried about this one and I wonder if someone is missing her. And, I will be really pissed when I find out she belongs to my next door neighbor who doesn't care that her declawed cat is roaming around defenseless, hungry, and cold. The cat owner should be more careful. Choo never know when your cat with abandonment issues will grow up and start writing a blog, or even a few books.
