Today was Karen's grand finale episode of Radioactive Redecorating! Six weeks of daily radiation treatments are over and she left the friendly (and funny!) technicians who put up with her artful renovations with what really matters: donuts and love. It never hurts to leave a little good cheer in a place where someone will certainly need it next. And by place I mean a room where they radiate the hell out of cancer.
This is part one of a thing I have been trying to write. A thing not really about cancer but about sisters and life and being awake. The trying part isn't about the difficulty in the writing of it, but in the finding of time to write it.
It is that time of year again when the tv shows take a break from filming and my husband is home for lunch and dinner He likes to know what will be served at each around 10 AM and then starts doing home renovation projects spur of the moment between meals to really mess with my routine. I try to act cool, though, like I barely notice (remember the writer's/writers'/writers strike?).
So, part two of this post will be written soon~while I think of what to make for dinner for the next three months. Don't be shy sharing your recipes with me.
