Last night I finally got a chance to watch the season finale of Million Dollar Listing. Every time I watch that show I wonder why I am watching it and then I watch it again while pushing the bangs out of my eyes even if there are no bangs in my eyes. It's a natural reaction when seeing Chad, that one agent whose bangs are always in his eyes a la The Courtship of Eddie's Father. There was also a bit of something else that hair style reminded me of but I couldn't quite put my finger on it until this morning when I checked my email and saw too many emails about a photo our younger brother put in his facebook. Younger brothers with scanners and facebook are just a bad idea.
Chad's hair reminds me of ME in 1984. How did I see? I loved that beige jacket that was 4 sizes too big.I wore it everywhere and every day. It was a good jacket to hide under. Back then I wasn't that short but I am still that same height! Lucky for Tod, he grew. And lucky for the person next to Tod, I cropped him out. He and Tod had matching denim jackets, so yeah.
I remember my outfit so well. It was a red v-neck sweater from Express when Express sold good clothes and greenish pants from The Limited when The Limited sold good clothes.
I have no memory of where the unisex jacket is from though but it was from a store that sold good clothes, then.
A few months after this photo was taken, I cut my bangs so you could see all my cool black liner, I started coloring my hair purple, started decorating my clothes with safety pins and paint, and started wearing less beige. I gave the beige jacket to Tod. Clearly, his arms had already outgrown that denim jacket.
I wonder if Chad will have purple hair and a denim jacket covered in safety pins when the next season of Million Dollar Listing returns.
