I got a new pair of shoes today because I only have a trillion pairs of flat black shoes with ivory top-stitching. Now I have a trillion and one. If only they'd had them in red, too. I pretty much only ever wear red or black shoes. It's my uniform.
This weekend I will wear my uniform for a photo shoot with the amazing Jen Foster. Yes, the same Jen Foster we keep telling you to vote for. We seesters and Maria are getting together with Jen for a few hours and I am excited to be seeing Jen through the lens of my camera, telling her story. It's cool, too, because Karen was supposed to be in Texas, as you might recall. She isn't. Things have such a way of happening with us. We're going to go somewhere meaningful and symbolic for us and for Jen for part of the shoot. For those of you who have read Journal Revolution and who have heard Jen's Songs from Thirty-Nine, you may be able to put the puzzle together.
I like stories where everything is connected and were everything, even the lyrics of a song, are a sign.
And in other news: Dustin goes back to work August 11th. Hiatus is almost over.
