We have a What's For Lunch? winner of a copy of Journal Revolution: Sandra and her peanut butter and jelly sandwich! The excitement around here never ends.. we also have a runner-up who will receive some buttons: Elise and her bean chicken soup and cornbread muffin! YUM! You guys all had some great lunches.
Yesterday, I had a handful of Wheat Thins, a few handfuls of Barbara's Bakery cheese puffs, 2 Reese's Peanut Butter Easter eggs, and a diet coke. Karen had
Aidells Chicken + Apple sausage, NOT on a Wonder Light Bun, since we can't buy them anywhere any more and a pack of Cadbury Mini Eggs...OK, maybe 3 packs.
I haven't had a chance to visit all the blogs of the people who so generously shared their lunches with us or the blogs I normally visit because I had to spend a lot of time on Fantasy Island yesterday (I will be back to my normal blog hopping and commenting soon). I was reaching for something in the kitchen when I felt a familiar awful pain in my lower back, which while horrible, is really funny. It's really funny when you reach for something then get stuck in that position! It really is just like in a cartoon! I hobbled to the freezer and got some ice and then some (ok, a lot) of Advil, then tried to get myself propped up against a wall so the ice would stay wedged between me and the wall. Oh my Buddha! How can this BEEEEEEE (again) ???? After lots of ice and trying to stretch, I was able to stand up straight but could not sit, which was really awful because I had to pee really bad. All the laughing at myself wasn't helping, either. I finally realized if I climbed to the top of my stairs I could sort of just tip myself over the top step and lie down in fetal position on the floor easier than getting in bed or sitting on the couch. It totally worked! Once there, with my bag of ice, I had a fantasy that a chiropractor would just happen to be in my neighborhood and he'd see my light on and just come on in and put me back in order and since it is a fantasy, he'd also be Sawyer from Lost. And, well, since it is still a fantasy, he'd also be my hair stylist because if I can only stand up, how am I going to DO MY HAIR? Forget how will I pee, how will I dry my hair? It's morning now and I am still not sure how anything that involves the use of my lower back, my right arm or leg will happen today. One good thing I have learned- I can blog standing up! It's taken me 3 hours, though. I need more drugs.
