Tomorrow my life starts going back to normal. The strike is over and my beloved husband is going back to work after being home for over THREE MONTHS. I am not sure which normal thing I should do first~ blast my Eddie Vedder cd, experiment with eyeliner, or call Julie. There are things I have to do like work on art and writing for projects with deadlines, update my websites, send a zillion thank-you cards, and get caught up on email. The other major thing I have to do is get caught up on the entire season of Project Runway! Oh my Buddha, I have missed all the good stuff!
The last few months have been very difficult with the strike and the God awful infection that just did not want to die. There were some bright shining moments that let me know there are friends out there who totally get me. What a great feeling! Magic stars that fell from envelopes, squishy loaves of Wonder Bread and the comfort of Little Debbie, a fruit basket on one of my worst days, fluffy socks, funny emails, colorful cards, sweet love notes....many of these things came with notes that said, DO NOT THANK ME FOR THIS. Yeah, as if I ever follow rules. THANK YOU!
The other thing I fell behind in doing the last few months is showing art inspired by our books that you, our lovely readers, have sent to us. Let's get this week started off right!
This cool journal page was sent to us all the way from Germany and was created by Ella Boehm. She was inspired by Visual Chronicles. It's always so neat for us to think about people in other countries being inspired by our books...it's fun to know our message and philosophies translate well. Sometimes we worry that our humor might not be funny in other languages. Uh, some people think it's not even funny in English!
Hmmm....maybe we should do a lunch contest this week since we are celebrating. Check back soon for that!
