I got home late last night after one more meeting and stopped to get my beloved husband a card on the way home. There were no good cards left so I snapped this photo and made a card out of it. It's funny to me that the only cards left were cards for grandsons. Hmmmm.
My bags are almost unpacked, my thank you cards are almost written and I am starting to go through my week of unread emails. We know that yesterday was the day designated for LOVE and we are late with this~ thank YOU for coming here to share in our lives on a daily basis! We can't let another day go by without giving a huge hug full of love to our amazing support team of Wendy Brickman, Sarah Bachman (both Jewish!*) and of course, The Other Karen, Maria Hammon. It is so comforting to know these women are always looking out for our best interest and helping us with the Big Things (especially right before and after a huge convention). Pure goodness!
Tonight, famous author Tod Goldberg is coming to sleep on my couch. He was on NPR last week and I fear there will be a quiz about his performance because I haven't yet listened to it. I will bake some cookies in the hopes it distracts him from asking me about it. Maybe I'll get my Flip out and we'll see if the ghost that lives in my loft will come out to play!
Tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn is my cousin's Bar Mitzvah that Karen volunteered our services for. I still don't have an outfit to wear. I also still don't know what we're doing other than it involves walking somewhere and closing a door. I just KNOW this will not end well.
Lost was SOOOOOO good last night. Sayid is on my list.
*Adam Sandler needs to do another Hanukkah song!
