Do you typically expect the apple pie part of pie a la mode to be warm? Should I have specified that they warm up the pie before putting the ice cream on it? Because really, if I wanted ice cream with cold bits of pie in it, I could've gone to Cold Stone Creamery in the middle of the night instead. I thought it was universally understood that apple pie with ice cream on top should be warmed up so the ice cream gets melty. Bloggers, what do you think? Am I wrong?
