I could go for a pizza.
This weekend will be short on naps. We've got birthday parties (Karen's daughter turned 13!!), softball games, brunches, photo shoots, and mall hopping to find something to wear to our book signing. Emily, Karen's daughter, asked me to be in charge of the balloon gathering for her party. See page 37 of Journal Revolution. Because I didn't want to appear less cool in the eyes of my beloved niece, I said, Sure! No problem! then called my husband and told him he's in charge of balloon gathering.
Early today I was working on some writing. A big part of writing consists of staring in to space and appearing to be doing nothing. But really, nothing is something. Thinking counts! Sometimes you just have to THINK before you do anything. Many people have told me I should do that before speaking, but if I did that, life would be way too boring. Thinking before writing is good, though. I got nowhere thinking so I decided I'd just wait for the world to send me some signs. The world rarely fails me in its sign giving. Let's look at sign number 1:
* (by Karen Woods and Linda Dinino). That's on the creative mom podcast blog.
sign number 2:
* Revolution: Rise Up and Create! That's in LA Weekly.
OH MY BUDDHA! Something GREAT and EXCITING is about to happen to us! Whenever our names are wrong or the title of our book is wrong, something fantastic follows! I am not even going to bother telling anyone to fix the errors because that'd be like saying when before the glass is full to the brim. Thank you Creative Mom and LA Weekly! It's starting again.
