We've never really met Gloria Page in reality, yet it feels like we have known her forever. We met via email last year. The more we got to know her, the more we became inspired. This amazing artist knows perseverance and determination and how to face a challenge head on. Not only does she inspire us on a spiritual level, but her art stamps and her books (Holy Moly Mackeroly and Art Stamping Workshop) get our creative juices flowing.
Gloria was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing radiation treatment. Our hearts go out to her as we know how difficult this time must be for her and her family. Poppy in Missouri is having a fundraiser to benefit Gloria:
"Live Strong, Love Strong - an art raffle to benefit Columbia artist Gloria Page"
Reception and drawing: April 12, 2007 from 5:30-7pm.
Gloria was diagnosed with breast cancer in November. While she is
determined to beat this, she and her family need the help of her
friends. The money raised will go directly to Gloria to help cover
insurance costs. Each raffle ticket costs $50.00. Only 20 tickets will
be sold for each piece of art.
Raffle: Now - April 12, 2007. We hope to see you there but you do not need to be present to win.
Tickets are available at Poppy (920 E. Broadway). Cash, checks and credit cards are welcome. Call Poppy at 573-442-3223 or [email protected] for more information. Donations can also be made. Please send checks to: Gloria c/o Susan Taylor Glasgow, 307 N. 10th St., Columbia, MO 65201.
