We started to answer email individually but in the interest of time and in the interest of me not wanting to go crazy repeating the same thing, we're going to address here some of the most popular questions and comments we've gotten since being on The View.
1. Yes, we really are sisters.
2. If you are an art journaler, there's really no need to be offended by the term scrapbooking. We don't care what you call your art. We just want you to make art and express yourself freely. Call it cooking. Call it knitting. Call it napping. Call it whatever makes YOU happy. Just grab your glue stick and get to it. YOU ARE ART.
3. On the issue of using acid free and archival items in our journals...it's not an issue for us. We use what we have and usually what we have is a magazine cut out or original photos or just stuff we find. If it is important to YOU to use acid free supplies, then by all means, use it. It's been our experience that nothing in life is permanent and the aging process that occurs in art created with found objects and items really does add character and charm and becomes part of the art. Often, searching for just the right acid free product takes up precious time when we could use that time to create. Keep that in mind.
4. We only have a few I AM ART shirts left and we have ordered more. There are a couple left on ebay and I will update our ebay selection as soon as I can. I will post here when I update what we have for sale. If you want an I AM ART shirt ($20 + shipping), please email us and let us know what size so we can be sure to order enough. Payment is not due or expected until we have the shirts in our hot little paint covered hands. These shirts make great gifts!
And...you need not be in the audience at The View to receive free copy of our book, Visual Chronicles. We'll be giving away a free copy HERE in another contest in a day or two. YAY!
