Whether we're at home or on the road, weird things continue to happen to us. Karen's run of bad luck with cars has successfully transferred to me. It began with our trip up north when some jerk in a white car hit my black car and left no note -other than the globs of white paint on my front bumper. And now, here in Phoenix the car curse strikes again. This is a very weird car thing we're having here...the first day we arrived, we saw friends on the freeway. Ok, not just saw them, we sort of cut them off but in my own defense, people here just do not merge like we do in Los Angeles. Note, we saw/cut them off on a busy rush hour freeway in a city we don't even live in. What are the odds of that? Then, we kept seeing people we know around town while we were IN the car. And then, we didn't mean to see Trevor, who is all of the 19 years his name suggests, when he tried to drive into my backseat. So...yeah. Nobody got hurt, so that is good. But, hey, I was stopped when he hit us and he was backing up...it was not my fault. No matter what, when we leave town to teach, it ends up costing us more than we make in ways we don't expect. Though, given our past, we should expect it.
