Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~When you treat yourself well, the whole world DOES reward you
~Self-stick stamps and envelopes. Yes, we all know about them, but let's take a moment to note how nice it is not to lick those things.
~Pansies everywhere--my kids planted them as my Mother's day gift
~Butterscotch Banana cake made better.
~The song How It Ends by DEVOTCHKA, it's soooo 80's depressing (I haven't heard their cd, just that one song that was on Everwood) and the new Dixie Chicks CD.
Our Bêtes Noires:
~Another flat tire!
~Oops--it's the petunias that are everywhere. The damn bunnies ate the pansies.
~No more Everwood. I know I am late to that pity party, but my faux tivo broke and I had only one day to watch the entire season in one sitting before they came and gave us a new box. I am so sad this show is over. Since I had to cram 40 hours of tv into one day, I also got to finally watch that Oprah where she talks to all the cheating husbands. All the white guys were total GEEKS! Geeks who got wives AND mistresses. How did that happen? Even the 40-Year Old Virgin was cooler than these guys and these were the types of guys I am sure the creators of the Virgin used as a guide to geekiness.
~Friends still thinking we are mad at them because we are too busy to talk on the phone for more than 5 minutes. People, we are busy. There's art to make, books to write and promote, court room dramas to be part of, husbands and kids to take care of, an ailing mother, lots of food to be eaten, laundry to be done, tv to be watched (ooooh one more night until Deadwood!), and walks to be taken. If you need a response fast, just send us an email. Of course, the people who we are frustrated with don't read our blog, so....yeah. It feels good to say it, anyway. See, we do live what we teach!
