Valentine's Day is just around the corner
and I feel the pressure to make really good cards. Sometimes, when your
job is to make art and be creative all day, it is hard to walk from the
office (more commonly known as the extra bedroom) to the living room
and start making things. I've got my Personal Palette in one hand, Neil Diamond is singing to me, a warm breeze is coming through the open windows, a stack of Ginger O's will keep me nourished, and I am ready
to start making some love cards. And, I've left a couple empty pages in
my journal for little bits of cards, candy wrappers, and notes that I
want to keep from this special day...you know, the stuff we sisters will give to each other as well as love from girl friends. Really, do husbands ever know what to do on Valentine's Day? They seem to sort of know what to do every other day but this one. It's good for us girls, though, the phone calls the next day are always full of laughter and no-way! and he did what?!. I love those shared moments.
Speaking of sharing the love~ If you've gotten our book and LOVE it, please do leave a review on Amazon. You can leave a review there even if you got the book somewhere else. And, if you pre-ordered it and they say it won't be shipped until March, cancel that order and just do the "buy it now" and it will be shipped to you much sooner. Then, you can journal all about YOUR Valentine's Day adventures!
Spreading some love~~~~ You know we are addicted to purses. So when we heard that artist extraordinaire and fellow Ginger O's lover, Karen Baldwin, came up with some new purses, we had to see them. Why not treat yourself to a gift this Valentine's Day? Don't forget that Presidents' Day (or is it President's or Presidents?) is coming up soon...people give gifts that day, too, right?
