I love the salad chopping scissors! Dustin gave them to me for my birthday- I'd been wanting them forever. It's much easier to eat salad while watching tv when it all fits on your fork. #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/1gWvlOE
Thing 49: I called myself Charlamame when I was a little girl. I had a play kitchen in the garage and played make believe that it was a little cafe. I made menus on binder paper and had daily specials, often cooked with leaves from our olive tree. I just did not think Linda was an exotic enough name for a cafe owner and chef. Charlamame sounded way better! It cracks me up that my seester still addresses cards to Charlamame! Did you have a fake name when you were a kid? #45andme #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/1gVDkLO
Thing 48: I like everything in chronological order. I think this should apply to wedding rings, too. You get an engagement ring THEN you get a wedding ring. I wear my rings in that order. Why does everyone wear the wedding band first? The wedding happened second, it should not be first on your finger. I organize everything in chronological order- photo files, photo albums, work files, everything. Thing 48a: My engagement ring was my mom's. Before Dustin could pick out a ring for me, my mom said she was saving hers for me. It fit my finger perfectly and I loved it. I did not like the wedding band so designed my own with sapphires. What is your organization thing? Which ring do you wear first? #45andme #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/P7EAQc
The Kona Coffee dipped shortbread cookies from My Boyfriend Joe are DELISH! They taste kind of doughnuty. I never would've tried these but the other day Dustin said he likes Kona Coffee. I got them for him but am considering a secret stash for the Mercury In Retrograde bunker. #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/1jKROft
Thing 47: Nana always told me the trick to making any garden pop with color is to plant Dusty Miller. As always, Nana was right! Colors pop when paired with Dusty! Thing 47a: It makes me crazy when people call @dustin_w "Dusty." Dustin and Dusty are totally different names and he is most certainly not a Dusty. Thing 47b: Dustin was named after a town in Oklahoma where his family is from. Thing 47c: Blake Shelton is from Oklahoma. Hmmmm.... #45andme #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/1p2qZqn
Thing 46: Foam rollers are my gluten-free. I think everyone's life would be better if they took 15 minutes a day to do foam roller exercises. It's just so relaxing! Every night I foam roll without fail. It's great after standing in the kitchen making cookies, hours of editing photos, or after spending all day contorting over canvases. It's like going to a massage without having strangers touch you or the fear of being caught naked in public during an earthquake. What is your cure-all thing you tell everyone to do? #45andme #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/NEWY1O
This morning at Walmart I got a paper cut on my index finger from a piece of cardboard when I reached for cat food. It would not stop bleeding. I was sure sepsis would be coursing through my veins in seconds. I reached in my purse for anti-bacterial and bandaids and to my surprise, I had things for every tragedy BUT a paper cut! Advil, Tylenol and Sudafed Lip balm Eye drops Bobby pin (you never know when you'll need to pick a lock or pin your hair back) The tag to Zibby's carrier from her first vet visit Pen and pencil Paint swatches and various bits of memorabilia, candy, and every type of feminine hygiene product you could need if menopause suddenly ended and you were stranded on an island with only your purse. I wrapped my finger in a crumpled post-it note until I got to the bandaid section. Do you have survival supplies in your purse? #45andme #iamartblog from Instagram http://ift.tt/1gHKyBI
